The COVID-19 pandemic made it hard for artists to get their music out to their fans. One of the most important ways for rappers to connect with fans and feel their support is touring, and because of quarantine, the coronavirus put concerts on hold for over a year. Thankfully, the world is slowly opening back up, and artists are getting their tour dates in order.
On Wednesday (March 24), Russ became the latest artist to announce a tour for 2022 when he announced the big news on Instagram. In the post, Russ shared a picture of himself with a set of tour dates spanning across seven months. In addition to American tour dates, Russ will be taking his talents to Australia and Europe.
“NEW TOUR,” Russ wrote in the caption. “So excited to announce the 2022 Shake The Globe Tour. Tickets on sale THIS FRIDAY. If you had tickets already to any of the 2020/2021 shows, those tickets will still work.”
He continued, “If you want a refund you have a 30 day window starting today. More cities and countries will be added so India, Southeast Asia, Middle East, Africa, South America etc, don’t worry!!! We’re just waiting on the governments to give us the green light. I’m very excited to see all of you.”

Russ has been waiting to perform for his die-hard fans since his last few drops have been well-received by critics. The previous studio release, Shake the Snow Globe, peaked at No. 4 on the Billboard 200 chart earning over 63,000 total album-equivalent units. Russ released an EP in November 2020 titled CHOMP that had the Atlanta rapper catch listeners’ attention with his bar-heavy delivery.
Russ has also been padding his pockets with all the money he’s made since going independent last June. Earlier this month, Russ took to Twitter to share two images that reflect on the success he’s been seeing in the independent market. The first image shows Russ has earned a whopping $10,003,878.42 by handling his music independently.
In the second photo, Russ had a deeper reflection on his independent journey. After making his first $1,000 check, the 28-year-old challenged himself to make more money each time out, and he did. He also stressed it wouldn’t have been possible without consistency and determination. The next goal the New Jersey-bred rapper has his eyes set on is a hefty $50 million.
