Kodak Black came out of prison a different type of focused.
According to someone in the Florida native’s circle, the Finesse Kid has recorded a whopping 167 songs since being released from his nearly two-year long bid in January. If you compare that to his 11-track album Bill Israel that he dropped in 2020, that means Kodak is sitting on at least 15 albums worth of material.
One of the songs was previewed on his Instagram earlier this week, and it continues to lay claim to the popularization of Megan Thee Stallion’s “drive the boat” catch phrase. Aptly titled the same name, Kodak name-checks Meg and reminds fans he was the originator of the popular saying.
“Everything I say turn into a quote, you can go ask Meg Thee Stallion, I ask ’em let me drive the boat, they thought I was Lil Yachty,” he raps.
Bill Israel served as Kodak’s third studio album and was released while he was still behind bars in November. Despite appearances from Gucci Mane, Lil Yachty, Tory Lanez and more, the album failed to achieve the success his prior two albums saw – which was likely a result of the fact he couldn’t promote it in the proper fashion. The effort debuted and peaked at No. 42 on the Billboard 200 with 16,000 album-equivalent units.
In comparison, Kodak’s debut album Painting Pictures debuted at No. 3 on the Billboard 200 with 71,000 album-equivalent units in 2017 and his sophomore effort Dying to Live arrived at the top spot with 89,000 album-equivalent units in 2018.

That song with Tory Lanez was so fire damnnn
Quantity over quality, huh? I’d rather have 10 good tracks than 167 rushed pieces of shit though.
I doubt they were rushed… dude was in prison for 2 years, he didn’t have shit to do but write songs.
And take it in the ass.
He doing that so when he get locked up again. All these in trouble rappers should do that. Pac stayed making records.
