As the Hip Hop community is up in the air and several civil
rights activists are in disgust
over Nas
upcoming album title; fans are still waiting to hear music from the
controversially titled LP, Nigger.

According to reports from MTV, Nas’ camp has said that the album has been pushed back. The new
release date will fall on February during Black History Month.

As Nas still works
on finalizing the track list, he took the time to tell MTV that the leaked
snippet for a song called What It Is
will NOT make the album, and in fact is just a fake blend of leaked vocals on
top of a random beat.

“I never rhymed to that beat,” says Nas of the track (that you can stream/download here).

With production to close within the next week, Diddy and LV & Sean C (who produced 9 tracks from Jay-Z’s American Gangster)
are expected to lend beats to the album that already features production from DJ Toomp and longtime friend and
collaborator Salaam Remi.
