Diddy’s parties are known to be some of the biggest events of the year. There is the storied Labor Day weekend white party in the Hamptons, his lavish birthday parties and the extravagant New Year’s Eve bashes he throws for him and his friends. Unfortunately, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Diddy has called off the end of the year party.
On Monday (December 28), Diddy shared a post on Instagram canceling his annual party amid safety concerns surrounding the virus.
“TO ALL MY FRIENDS: In efforts to keep everyone safe & healthy unfortunately WE ARE NOT HAVING A NYE PARTY THIS YEAR,” Diddy wrote in the image of the post. “I hope everyone blessed holiday and wish you all the best for the new year!”
The business mogul added in the caption, “ATTENTION: THIS IS TO EVERYONE, ALL OF MY FRIENDS & FAMILY … I’M NOT CHANGING MY MIND … SEE YOU ALL IN 2021! LOVE YOU!”

Rappers aren’t following safety protocols when it comes to partying this year. Everyone from Lil Baby, Offset, Megan Thee Stallion, Mulatto and more have all thrown maskless shindigs and Diddy was spotted at a few of them like Teyana Taylor’s 30th birthday party. Thankfully Diddy is choosing the responsible route when it comes to his massive parties.
On Monday (December 21), Diddy managed to hold a small private party with 40 guests for his mother Janice Combs’ 80th birthday. Surrounded by family and close friends, Diddy gifted his mother a $1 million check and a sleek midnight blue Bentley.
