Royce Da 5’9 once called Lil Wayne one of the Top 5 rappers alive — but that was 2014, six years before the Cash Money legend would surprise some of his fans and peers by endorsing Donald Trump. On Thursday (October 27), Weezy shared a photo of himself grinning with the current POTUS in front of an American flag, which the Bad Meets Evil MC couldn’t help but address.

In an Instagram post, Nickle Nine re-shared the now-viral photo and made it clear he misses the 2011 Wayne by quoting Tha Carter IV track “6 Foot 7 Foot.”

“This ain’t the Iconic Genius that said. {And I Quote} ‘Bitch, real G’z move in silence like lasagna’…. Nope. I rebuke you, Satan … Stay away from our [GOATS’].. And Wayne would’ve NEVER worn a shirt to the White House.”

Unsurprisingly, Wayne found himself a trending Twitter topic shortly after the news broke. But unlike 50 Cent, who encouraged his Instagram followers to “vote for Trump” earlier this month, he wasn’t kidding about his support.

He wrote in the caption, “Just had a great meeting with @realdonaldtrump @potus. besides what he’s done so far with criminal reform, the platinum plan is going to give the community real ownership. He listened to what we had to say today and assured he will and can get it done.”

Ice Cube has also linked up with the Trump campaign in an effort to push his Contract With Black America (CWBA), confusing many of his loyal fans along the way.

But in a subsequent interview with CNN’s Chris Cuomo, Cube attempted to explain his position, saying, “I’m going there for Black Americans, the ones who are the decedents of slaves, and that’s what I’m going to talk to anybody who’s in power. If anybody has a problem with that, it seems like a personal problem.”
