Rapper Joe Budden has been released from Def Jam records, after many predicted him as the future of hte label.

Budden didn’t seem troubled by this turn of events, as he turned to future prospects. “I’m just happy we were finally able to cut all ties. I feel like I
have all the talent in the world, but for some reason was never able to
showcase it there,”
said Budden.“I’m looking forward to
whatever God has in store for me, and Joe Budden fans should know –
today is a beautiful day.”

Budden’s self-titled album in 2003 went gold, spawning the hit single “Pump it Up.” This generated significant interest for his sophomore project The Growth, which was ultimately never released.
