Big Sean reaches his highest self in the video for his new single, “ZTFO.”
Short for Zen The Fuck Out, the Detroit rhymer does exactly that in the visual as he meditates and levitates before eventually shedding his human form and exploding into light.
“ZTFO” lives on the current No. 1 album in the country and Sean’s fifth studio album, Detroit 2. Originally appearing as though it would be beat out by Tekashi 6ix9ine’s TattleTales for the top spot, a change in Billboard rules swiftly dropped 6ix9ine to No. 4 and Sean took No. 1 by a landslide with 103,000 album-equivalent units.
The 21-track effort features appearances from the late Nipsey Hussle, Post Malone, Ty Dolla $ign, Sean’s girlfriend Jhene Aiko and more, as well as talking interludes from both Dave Chappelle and Stevie Wonder. And in a recent interview with SiriusXM’s Swaggy Sie to promote the project, Sean revealed some music may be on the way with the legendary Wonder as well.

“Stevie Wonder on there too, that was like another dream come true because Stevie Wonder is like – I come from a household where we play all Stevie Wonder’s music,” Sean said. “We linked up and I remember when I was in tthe studio with him, he was like, ‘I’ll do the story, but let me hear the music though.’ So I played him the music and he was like, so happy. That was like one of the most proudest moments of my life.
“After I played the song ‘Guard Your Heart’ with me, Anderson .Paak and Wale, he stood up and was clapping and you know, it was great, man,” he continued. “It was a great experience. And we definitely plan on making music together too. I was trying. I didn’t want to rush it for this album, ’cause when we got in the studio it was like only a couple of days left before I had to turn it in. But you know, that’s the plan, so hopefully it goes well.”
