This past Saturday, September 29th, Kanye West was featured as the musical guest for the Season 33 premiere of Saturday Night Live. Hosted by NBA superstar LeBron James, the show was bolstered by two performances from the Louis Vuitton Don.
First, Mr. West blessed the audience in the NBC studios with an enlivened performance of “Stronger” (flanked by a live string section), before segueing into “The Good Life” (sans the song’s hook support, T-Pain).

After performing the most recent singles from his recently-released Graduation album, Kanye joined the cast of the legendary sketch comedy show in a hilarious send up of his now infamous outbursts at awards shows. In the skit Kanye addresses his notable fictitious fits – interrupting Nickelodeon’s Kid Choice Award for best T.V. show and The Nobel Piece Prize for physics, as well as a county fair presentation for best pumpkin – as a guest of BET’s 106 & Park. The clip closes with Kanye throwing a tantrum in the show’s backstage area reminiscent of his captured on camera tirade at this year’s MTV Video Music Awards.
For his second performance of the night the superstar producer/rapper gave solid renditions of Graduation album cuts “Champion” and “Everything I Am.” But it was during the performance of the latter that Kanye began fumbling with his lyrics, acknowledging his misstep to the audience in rhyme form, “I just messed up on my rap/Live T.V., like damn,” before launching into a rather unorthodox freestyle:
