For the fourth week in a row, the charts are topped by Disney‘s High School Musical 2 Soundtrack which has sold 165k this week (1.4M total). Fergie, who has had the 2nd most downloaded track of the year, “Big Girls Don’t Cry”, has jumped from #5 to the #2 spot. The Dutchess sold 49k (2.6M total).
Young Joc‘s Hustlenomics, which debuted at #3 last week, has dropped to #11 with 28k sold (97k total), while T.I.‘s T.I vs. TIP (which finally went platinum last week) fell 3 spots to #15. The southern rapper sold 25k this week (1.03M total).
Talib Kweli‘s Eardrum, which debuted three weeks ago at #2 on the charts, has taken another drop from #20 to #39 with 16k sold (100k total). Aesop Rock‘s None Shall Pass dropped 52 spots to #102 since debuting last week. However, a recent MTV spotlight as artist of the week might have Aesop back on track next week.
Ice Cube‘s little talked about greatest movie hits album, In The Movies, debuted at a disappointing #169 selling only 4k.
