As Dogg Chit flew under the radar of many, Kurupt and Daz knew a move had to be made in order to keep them relevant in today’s whirlwind of “here today, gone tomorrow” hip hop acts. What exactly would that move be? That their next album would drop on Cash Money Records.
Without many details to go off of other than what their website states (“Tha Dogg Pound has signed to Cash Money Records and the next Dogg Pound album will drop on Cash Money Records. More info will be posted on this later.”), it is unknown how soon this new album will drop. Kurupt was quoted on dubcnn saying “It’s official! Me and Daz just got off the phone with Baby, Slim & Snoop. West Coast Aftershocc nigga!”
After the abysmal sales of the Koch release Dogg Chit (selling just over 11k in its first week), this may be the boost that keeps Daz & Kurupt afloat. We’ll keep you posted as more details come in.
