San Francisco, CA

School meals provide many underprivileged youths their chance to eat during the day, but the COVID-19 pandemic has caused school shutdowns across nation, taking those meals away, so Bay Area native G-Eazy is stepping up to give back to children in his hometown.

On Thursday (March 26), the “Everything Will Be OK” artist announced he’s offering free meals for kids in San Francisco for one month via his Endless Summer Fund, according to TMZ.

G-Eazy has partnered with nonprofit organization Larkin Street Youth Services for the literal charity drive.

G’s charity will bankroll a local food truck, Mi Morena, to navigate towards community members who have difficulty reaching the service center walk-in sites.

The truck will have a full commercial kitchen to cook the meals and will offer free food for seven days per week throughout the month as the “shelter in place” mandate stands for the city continues.
