Actors Gal Gadot, Zöe Kravitz, Will Farrell, Kristin Wiig, Sarah Silverman, Natalie Portman, Amy Adams, Maya Rudolph and Mark Ruffalo (among others) faced an onslaught of criticism after they made an Instagram video cover of John Lennon’s “Imagine.”
Many people thought a group of wealthy, privileged celebrities singing was a slap in the face to those who are dealing with real financial crisis in the wake of the coronavirus.
But it turns out there’s an antidote.
On Friday (March 20), comedian Zack Fox decided to round up his inner circle for a cover of Three 6 Mafia’s “Slob On My Knob,” offering a comedic take on the perceived corny “Imagine” rendition. He even used a similar caption to Gadot’s, writing, “we’re all in this together.”

“I know during all this quarantine stuff some of you might feel lonely and scared and confused,” Fox begins. “And I wanna let you know that that’s perfectly OK. I do too, we all do, it’s perfectly normal.
“But for me, there’s a song from my childhood that would always help me out when I would feel that way, and I wanna share it with y’all, and hopefully just help out a little bit. It goes a little something like this.”
From there, Eric Andre, Thundercat, Quinta Brunson, Guapdad 4000, Cool Kids’ Chuck Inglish, Langston Kerman, Jak Knight, Sam Jay, 6lack, Teddy Ray and TisaKorean all swap verses from the 1999 song. But rather than giving the cover any energy, they’re all hilariously morose as they deliver their lines.
