Memphis-bred rapper NLE Choppa is back and ready to capitalize on the momentum from his viral hit “Shotta Flow,” and last year’s Cottonwood EPwith his new Roddy Ricch assisted single “Walk Em Down.”

In a recent behind-the-scenes interview with Complex, the “Clicc Clacc” rapper says the track all came together as a result of an Instagram direct message.

“I hit Roddy through Instagram,” he began. “I didn’t know if he was even going to respond to me. I’d never DM’d him before. Then we got to talking. He told me, ‘I like to meet the person before I work with them.’ I was like, ‘Shit, me too.'”

NLE Choppa Releases Debut EP 'Cottonwood'

“He came to the studio the same night and when he saw what type of nigga I was, we did the song the same night,” Choppa explained.

The visual for “Walk Em Down” captures NLE Choppa doing work in a virtual neighborhood amongst his Rolls-Royce with added support from Roddy Ricch’s cameo.
