Harris County, TX

A rap video shoot near Houston, Texas took a violent turn on Friday night (December 27) when multiple unknown assailants opened fire. According to ABC News, two people were killed and seven others were wounded.

Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez said the video was being filmed in an office park parking lot by a group of Hispanic males in their 20s, but the crime scene stretched over several blocks of a north Harris County residential neighborhood. It’s unclear if the men shooting the video fired back.

“We believe they were ambushed by individuals in cars and/or on foot,” Gonzalez told the press. “This is a very serious situation. This is a residential neighborhood; a lot of shots were fired, and we have an extensive scene out here stretching several blocks.”

He added, “We don’t know if there was a beef going on, or what exactly happened. That’ll be part of the investigation.”

Authorities will review any surveillance footage in the area as well as the material they’d already shot for the music video.
