Prior to releasing his single “Rowdy” featuring Machine Gun Kelly, Yelawolf checked in with Eminem to get his input.

In September of 2018, MGK dropped the “Rap Devil” diss track, which was aimed at the Detroit-bred rap god. Following its release, Yelawolf wasn’t sure if he should unveil his MGK-assisted single.

“Truth to be told, I called Marshall and I was like, ‘I got a record with homie [MGK] and I really, really like it. DJ Paul produced it.’ [Eminiem] was like, ‘Man, fuck it, dude,” he told HipHopDX. “Run it. People need to hear that. People want to hear that.”

The Trunk Muzik artist revealed Eminem has always been a supporter of his career.

“Marshall has always been selfless with me and what I do, always. I can say that,” he said. “He’s always been a champion for me … if it works for me, he’s behind it.”
