Los Angeles, CA

This year for #GivingTuesday, Snoop Dogg is partnering with Cash App to raise money for special needs kids.

In honor of the unofficial holiday for charitable giving, Snoop has enlisted Cash App to help raise funds for his special needs football league, Snoop’s Special Stars. Snoop Dogg announced the donation drive on Tuesday (December 3) via his Instagram page.

The #GivingTuesday promotion is limited; Cash App will only match donations until the end of the day on Tuesday. Those who donate are being encouraged to spread the word on social media by posting a screenshot of their transactions with the hashtag #IWannaThankMe, a nod to Snoop Dogg’s latest album.

Snoop’s Special Stars is unique non-profit athletic program based in the greater Los Angeles area. The league, which is a division of Snoop Dogg’s popular youth football league, was created to provide opportunities for special needs kids ages five to 13 who are interested in football or cheerleading. Cash App has pledged to match each dollar (up to $200,000) donated to “$SnoopsSpecialStars” through their app.
