Tory Lanez has dropped Chixtape 5 following weeks of social media hype. The project is notable for strictly sampling hits from the 2000s.
The fifth entry in the Chixtape series features collaborations with Lil Wayne, Snoop Dogg, Chris Brown, T-Pain, Mya, Ashanti, Ludacris, Fabolous, Jermaine Dupri and more.

Tory Lanez is done teasing his Chixtape 5 project. After hyping up the mixtape for weeks, the Interscope Records artist has announced the release date for his next tape and shared the official cover art.
“CHIXTAPE 5 – NOVEMBER 15,” he wrote on Instagram. “Cover shot by – @midjordan”
Last month, Tory told fans his Chixtape 5 project will exclusively feature samples from the early 2000s. To promote this feature, the Canadian rapper/singer shared a photoshoot he did with throwback gear from that era.

In addition to announcing his Chixtape 5 release date, Tory is also connecting directly with his followers by revealing his phone number. He says he bought a new phone specifically to answer texts from fans.

He later commented, “I’m dead ass in my new phone more than I’m on Instagram !!!! My fans are the funniest and dopest and most entertaining ass people I ever met !!! And I didn’t realize this till i started talking to them.”
