Lil Kim recently stopped by Beats 1 Radio to chop it up with host Ebro Darden. During their conversation, they discussed her latest album 9, which arrived earlier this month — 14 years after 2005’s The Naked Truth.
Toward the end of the interview, Kim reaffirms 9 is actually the first of two parts. Missy Elliott, Remy Ma and Fabolous are a few of the guests expected on the second installment. However, she didn’t divulge when exactly the album would arrive.
“It’s some interesting records on part two,” she says. “Me and Missy with Paris Hilton. I got Remy. It’s super hard though. Remy flamed that record.
Elsewhere in the interview, Kim opens up about The Notorious B.I.G. and talks about how he chose the now salacious poster image for 1996’s Hard Core.
“Biggie was always at all of my photoshoots, like he picked the Hard Core poster,” she explains. “I naturally did the pose, but I did a bunch of poses and he was like, ‘That’s the one.’
“The record company was like, ‘Are you sure about this?’ He was like, ‘Hell yeah, put that bitch on a poster. Stop playing.’ I’m not even joking. He was just my guy for everything. Not that I didn’t know him, but I was just scared to make a move because I didn’t want to make the wrong move, so he did everything.”
