T.I. is gearing up for the release of his fifth album, T.I. vs. T.I.P out on July 3 (Grand Hustle/Atlantic). The album was previewed at a listening party last night in New York. DJ Drama aided T.I. in previewing the album to the crowd as T.I. went back and forth between himself and his alter-ego, T.I.P., as he asked listeners to be quiet in order to hear his product. The album doesn’t sound much different from past T.I. albums and while it might not get better reviews than his previous effort, King, which sold 1.6 million units in the US, it’s still solid.
