Last year, Eminem released his tenth studio album Kamikaze and on it was a track titled “Not Alike” featuring Royce Da 5’9 where he disses a bunch of rappers, and among them included Machine Gun Kelly.
Once MGK caught wind of the diss, he unleashed his own diss record titled “Rap Devil” off his Binge album which consequently prompted Em to respond with a diss track specially made for Kelly in the form of “Killshot.”
At the production forefront for both diss songs was one man: Ronny J, who is reportedly working on Kanye West‘s upcoming album and recently released his solo cut “Stack It Up,” featuring Lil Pump.
Known for his production with Denzel Curry, Ski Mask The Slump God and the late XXXTENTACION, during an informational mini-doc with Uproxx, Ronny explained how destiny is the one reason why he ended up on both sides of the Eminem and MGK beef after his manager asked him to send beats for Em’s forthcoming effort.

“I sent beats [and] a few days later, he was like alright, Em wants these two,” he recalled in the doc. “In the midst of that, I’m in LA and my boy is like, I know MGK and he told MGK to pull up to the studio. MGK pulled up and MGK was like, yo, bro, I been hearing your name. I was even around Post Malone, he was saying your name.”
Once music fans figured out Ronny did all three songs, theories began floating around suggesting MGK and Eminem’s beef was a publicity stunt orchestrated by Interscope Records.
MGK quickly put the theory to rest during his interview on The Breakfast Club last year, however.
“I wish,” he laughed off at the notion to the morning radio hosts. “I went to equal playing grounds. You took two weeks, I took two days. You used a Ronny J track, I used a Ronny J track. You used a million-dollar studio, I used a dressing room before soundcheck.”

Currently, MGK is gearing up to co-headline the Justin Beiber Big Tour along with Young Thug in promotion of Hotel Diablo. On the flip side, Eminem is reportedly gearing up to release another album.
During a Q&A on Uproxx’s 24/7 live radio stream the day of the documentary’s release, Ronny revealed to fans that he has more music with MGK coming and also shared some positive advice for Tekashi 6ix9ine, who served as the star witness for the testimony in his alleged kidnapping case this week.
“I would tell 69 is to be safe and do what he feels like is right for his family,” Ronny said. “I wouldn’t care what the world has to say. At the end of the day no one knows how he feels.”
