Indianapolis, IN – Cardi B had to nix her scheduled concert performance at Bankers Life in Indianapolis on Tuesday after local police received information about an “unverified threat” against her.

The “Be Careful” rapper was slated to perform alongside special guests Kevin Gates and Saweetie, according to Deadline.

Mammoth Live, the concert’s promotion company, released a statement on Twitter that “management has advised that this show be postponed,” after security threats and safety concerns arouse at the venue.

The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department also released a statement on Twitter about the concert’s cancellation.

“This evening, there was a scheduled concert at Bankers Life,” the IMPD tweeted. We were notified of an unverified threat to the artist and the artist canceled this evening’s concert – there is no immediate threat to public safety, this is not an active incident. Ongoing investigation.”

Cardi B was contrite to the concert’s ticket buyers and fans on Twitter for the sudden change of events, too.

“Dear Indiana people I’m so sorry for today. I will like to let you know I was at the venue I was even rehearsing a new move I been excited to do on my show,” Cardi B tweeted. “Unfortunately there was a security threat that is currently under investigation right now. My safety and your safety first.”

No arrests have been made in connection to the threats at press time.

The concert is postponed and tickets for the original date will be honored for its new date of September 11.
