HipHopDX Premiere

At this stage in his career, Spice 1 really doesn’t have much to prove — his track record speaks for himself. The West Coast gangsta rap OG has worked with everyone from Tupac Shakur and the Outlawz to the late Eazy-E, which has cemented his chapter in the Hip Hop history books.

As he inches closer to dropping his new album Platinum OG, Spice 1 has dropped another single from the project titled “Driveway” featuring Rapping 4-Tay and Nanci Fletcher. The track oozes a laid-back G-funk vibe with the Bay Area-bred MC effortlessly flowing over the beat.

“This album is like my All Eyez On Me to the world” Spice 1 tells DX. “It’s me and my homies — some here, some not with us anymore — ringing that West Coast gangster shit on some banging ass beats.”

Spice 1 has dropped three singles from Platinum OG, including “Studio Gangsta” with Lil Eazy-E, MC Eiht and Nawfside Outlaw and “Since 85,” which boasts guest vocals from Devin The Dude and his longtime homie Kurupt.
