Busta Rhymes was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated (DWI) this morning, according to sources.
Police stopped a Yukon Denali driven by Rhymes on 51st Street and 11th Avenue in Manhattan, because the tint in its windows was too dark.
The officers allegedly smelled alcohol on Rhymes’ breath and then arrested him for DWI. He was booked at the 28th Street precinct. His attorney declined to comment when contacted.

Busta Rhymes, born Trevor Smith, was also arrested in Feb. for driving with a suspended license.
That incident caused a judge to withdraw a plea offer that would have allowed the rapper to avoid jail time for two assault charges.

Busta Rhymes is due to stand trial on May 8, for allegedly assaulting his former driver, and in another incident, he is accused of assaulting a fan. The superstar rapper is facing more than a year in prison for each assault charge.
Police still seek to question the rapper about the unsolved murder of his bodyguard, Israel Ramirez, because they believe he was one of several witness. However, police allege that Busta Rhymes has been uncooperative with the investigation so far.
