Memphis Bleek’s episode of the BET web series Rate The Bars turned out to be a confusing one for the veteran MC.

The Roc-A-Fella OG mistakenly credited bars penned by Casanova and Fabolous to Beanie Sigel and Freeway during his rating session. He also misidentified an Amil verse from a song he actually appeared on, “4 Da Fam” from the 2000 album All Money Is Legal, as the work of Remy Ma or Foxy Brown.

The episode also featured a humorous moment when the gold-selling artist reviewed his longtime collaborator JAY-Z’s rhymes from the “Diamonds From Sierra Leone (Remix).” The lines feature Hov rapping about how Bleek “could just kick back and chill somewhere” since he’s in Hov’s will.

“Niggas ain’t lying ’cause I been chilling!” Bleek said with a laugh before giving it a perfect rating.

Bleek’s opinion on the lyrics has changed over the years. In 2014, he noted his dislike for those bars during an interview with This Is 50.

“I don’t like that line ’cause that line put a stamp on my career,” he said at the time. “I feel people look at me as if Jay is just taking care of me.”
