Paramount Pictures new trailer for their upcoming live-action Sonic The Hedgehog is set to Coolio’s iconic hit, “Gangsta’s Paradise.”

The trailer, released Tuesday (April 30), follows the adventures of a CGI Sonic as he tries to save planet Earth. The speedy hedgehog can be seen lacing up his trademark red shoes and running up buildings with the 3x Platinum single playing in the background.

Coolio’s “Gangsta’s Paradise” rose to chart dominance after its release in 1995 peaking on Billboard at number one for 11 straight weeks, even going number one in 13 different countries. The South Central native’s hit won a Grammy for Best Rap Solo Performance of the song the same year.

The Jeff Fowler directed film will star Jim Carrey, James Marsden, Tika Sumpter and Ben Schwartz as the voice of Sonic.
