My time away from music wasn’t so much ‘falling back’, but I just really felt clear in my desire to refocus,” Mr. Porter tells DX about his hiatus. “During the past couple of years, I was executive producing Book of Ryan with Royce [Da 5’9], and then Eminem’s Revival and Kamikaze were back-to-back projects.
“The tour also was happening. So it was more like I was just not sitting down and doing something I knew in my heart I needed to be doing. I’ve got too much talent to not even put my best foot forward. I’m finally moving with no second-guessing and no hesitant thoughts, just pure excitement.’
