Los Angeles, CA

Mysterious R&B trio Emotional Oranges released a groovy new single titled “Someone Else” on Tuesday (April 23). The song is expected to live on their forthcoming project The Juice Vol 1.

The Los Angeles-based unisex group reportedly met in 2017 through Adele’s vocal coach and Drake’s engineer.

“This is the first time we’ve collaborated on a track outside of our camp,” one Emotional Oranges member said of the songs origins in a press release. “Dante Jones of THEY. helped produce this one, we wanted it to be on some 2020 Dr. Dre x Emotional Oranges energy. Wrote it about openly telling my girl that if she’s unhappy, she needs to go be with someone else.”

Emotional Oranges seems to be a favorite of Michelle Obama and Guy Fieri. Their previously released singles “Motion” and “Personal” catapulted them into popularity in such a way that “Motion” became the official theme song for RuPaul’s Drag Race in 2018.
