Khalid isn’t wasting anytime as he shares the fifth song from his upcoming sophomore album, Free Spirit.
The announcement of new music from the American Teen singer came Monday (March 25) when Khalid shared a rather cryptic photo of power-lines reflected in a pool of murky water with what appears to be blood running through it.
The Instagram caption simply read, “Track 14. Self. Thursday.”
Khalid’s latest single finds him looking inward, reflecting on past decisions and confronting current emotions. The introspective new offering follows his previously released Disclosure collaboration, “Talk,” shared in February.

The five-time Grammy nominee will be releasing a short film alongside his new album, Free Spirit, on April 3. The film will premiere in theaters around the country for an exclusive one-night-only event.
Free Spirit is the full-length follow up to Khalid’s previously shared Sun City EP released last October. The new album will bring along tracks, “Better” and “Saturday Nights” from the seven-track showcasing.
