Singer Mya is going out on tour in efforts to support her fourth solo album but first on Universal Records called Liberation which will drop in June the same time the tour starts up.
The singer will head out on the Seagram’s Live Tour along with rap group Clipse and will hit up cities like Memphis, Atlanta, Miami and New York.
Mya‘s first single off the album, “Lock U Down,” features Lil’ Wayne and is currently getting radio circulation.

Shawn J, born Shawn Johnson, was arrested in Jacksonville, FL last week on weapons charges.
Johnson who makes up one half of the group Field Mob was accused of carrying a concealed weapon and resisting arrest on Mar.27. The rapper is now being held without bond and is due back in court Apr. 9.
Shawn along with partner Smoke recently inked a deal with DTP where they released their album, Light Poles and Pine Trees. The album debuted at #2 on Billboard’s Top 200 charts.
The We The People festival will feature artists like the RZA, GZA and dead prez. Psycho Realm/Sick Symphonies will also co-headline the second annual event which is scheduled to take place April 7th at the W.L.C.A.C Grounds in Los Angeles. Other performers include DJ Muggs, Stones Throw soul-songstress Geogia Anne Muldrow, Sabac Red, Meduca, Visionaries member 2Mex, Los Nativos and a few other acts. The host for this year’s festivities will be radio personality Fidel Rodriguez and X-Clan’s Brother J.
According to folks at the festival, We the People’s mission is to “celebrate Truth, Consciousness and Harmony,” and will also feature speakers at the event. This year, those speakers are Maxine Waters, Dr. John Carlos, Luis Rodriguez, October 22nd Coalition, Mario Rocha, Unity One, and Homies Unidos.
