Anthony Anderson is hosting the 50th NAACP Image Awards on TV One, Saturday, March 30 at 9 p.m. ET/8C. The two-time Image Award winner and black-ish star and executive producer will host the first-ever live special from the Dolby Theatre.

NAACP CEO Derrick Johnson commented on the announcement saying, “We are pleased to have Anthony as our host for our 50th anniversary. Anthony’s charisma on stage has won over our audience and continues to bring in new viewers every year. As we recognize the best of the best artists for their accomplishments over the past year, we couldn’t be more proud to do so with Anthony by our side.”

Anderson currently holds four NAACP Image Awards for Outstanding Comedy Series and is set to star in the upcoming Netflix film Beats.

Preceding the live telecast, TV One will air the 50th NAACP Image Awards Tribute Special at 8 p.m. ET/7C. Viewers will be treated to this year’s nominees, past winners and most significant moments.
