Timbaland will produce a remake of the Marvin Gaye and Tammi Terrell song “You’re All I Need to Get By,” according to hnnlive. Timbaland’s version will feature Justin Timberlake and Britney Spears. The song was a Motown hit in 1968 and then remade in the 90s by Method Man, with Mary J. Blige on the hook.

Sources say Timbaland, Spears and Timberlake will record the duet some time this week in Los Angeles. The song is slated to appear on Spears’ new album.

The song is reportedly a result of Timbaland pleading with Timberlake to help propel Spears back to the top of the charts.

“Britney was extremely touched that Justin had been in contact. Going to the studio is Justin’s way of helping her get better,” said sources.

Spears checked out of rehab last week.
