Hip Hop provided the soundtrack for the 2019 NBA All-Star Game in Charlotte on Sunday night (February 17). J. Cole performed at the halftime show in his home state of North Carolina while Meek Mill opened the event with a fiery performance for the pre-game introductions.

Cole kicked off his set by performing his newest single “Middle Child” and followed it up with a medley of hits. The Dreamville boss shouted out the recently-freed 21 Savage, performed his verse from their collaboration “A Lot,” then transitioned into his solo cuts “ATM,” “Love Yourz” and “No Role Modelz.”

Earlier in the night, Meek helped introduce the players with his own medley of songs from 2018’s Championships album. The Philly-bred MC ran through the LP’s intro, “Going Bad” and “Uptown Vibes” before busting out his ever-popular anthem “Dreams and Nightmares.”
