Diggin In The Crates originator Diamond D is prepping his next solo studio effort in The Diam Piece 2.

And for the first teaser single, “The Mirror,” the NYC-bred producer virtuoso has linked with HipHopDX to premiere the video, which also lends the mic spotlight to Philly rhymer Sy Scott.

The veteran rapper got his start way back in the late 90s as a Def Squad affiliate and for this latest record, he’s vying to detail the struggles of men — specifically Black men — as they trudge through this thing called life.

“‘The Mirror’ is an introspective record about the realism of oneself,” Diamond D tells HipHopDX.

“Sy details it all perfectly; letting the audience inside a glimpse of his life; detailing everything from pain to triumph over a Diamond D-laced track,” he continues. “‘The Mirror’ is a prelude to Diamond’s The Diam Piece 2 album. Sy definitely lets us know that in 2019 he will make his mark and look out for his debut project that drops in March!”
