Playboy announced a new project called Rock the Rabbit which blends music with fashion as part of their annual March Music Issue (on newsstands and at www.playboydigital.com now). They asked twenty musicians to design a custom line of limited edition t-shirts placing their own personal stamp on the Rabbit Head brand and logo.
Six of the artists are featured in a fashion pictorial shot by legendary photographer Mick Rock in Playboy‘s March issue, while the other artists will appear online at www.rocktherabbit.com. Among those artists who participated are Rhymefest, Lil’ Jon, Thievery Corporation, Mick Rock, Metric, Soulwax, Illinois, Trainwreck Riders, Your Vegas, Tahiti 80, Stellastarr, Flaming Lips, The Bronx, Whitestarr, Oh My! Oh My! Home Video, Monsters Are Waiting, Johnossi and Dean & Britta.
Playboy will offer the limited edition Rock the Rabbit custom designed T-shirt line to consumers at the Playboy Concept Boutique at the Forum Shops, the Playboy Boutique at the Palms, both in Las Vegas, as well as online at www.shopthebunny.com. The original prototype Ts will be auctioned off with proceeds going to LIFEbeat: The Music Industry Fights AIDS (www.lifebeat.org.)
