Hip Hop culture, unfortunately, lays claim to an unsolved murder fraternity; one that the legendary Jam Master Jay is a part of.

The RUN-DMC staple was murdered on October 30, 2002, and Netflix’s original documentary series ReMastered is seeking to uncover the truth behind the killing of the 37-year-old turntable virtuso.

Jam Master Jay’s episode serves as “track 3” for the 8-track docuseries, which was created by Emmy and Peabody award-winners Jeff Zimbalist and Michael Zimbalist (The Two Escobars, Favela Rising, Nossa Chape, Pelé) and is produced by Triage Entertainment and All Rise Films. The Zimbalist brothers also serve as executive producers alongside Irving Azoff and Stu Schreiberg.

ReMastered: Who Killed Jam Master Jay? releases December 7, 2018 on Netflix. Watch the trailer up above.
