After opening up with a step routine from the ice cold Alpha Phi Alpha fraternity, Mariah Carey was joined by Ty Dolla $ign on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon! for a performance of “The Distance” off her recently released album Caution.
Carey was dressed in a form-fitting pink dress adorned in sparkling glitter as she flexed her iconic vocals with perfectly placed runs.
During her interview with Fallon, they discussed the resurgence of her 2001 film Glitter with the hashtag #JusticeForGlitter, which got poor reviews upon its release.

“Actually #JusticeForGlitter was directed at me because I never do songs from that soundtrack,” Carey said. “It was a tough time when it came out, it was a whole thing, a drama I don’t want to get into because it will change the mood…The fact that Glitter even came back as a thing, it’s a thing.”
Elsewhere in the interview, Carey talked about her work on The Voice, her classic hit “All I Want For Christmas Is You” and when it’s ok to start listening to Christmas music.
