Based on an award winning short film, Lions Gate Film has released a full length suburban Hip Hop comedy, The Bros., chronicling the journey of two suburban gangsta rap wannabes, Pete and Lenny, as they try to establish “street cred” in a crime spree. The movie is a straight to DVD film that features Joey Fatone, Shaquille O’Neal, Ludacris, Vanilla Ice, Cindy Margolis, Carrot Top, Johnny Damon, Jimmy Hart and ex-NBA star Dennis Scott.
In honor of the pioneers and birth place of Hip Hop, Sedgwick & Cedar ’73 will release a mixtape on March 14th, Sedgwick & Cedar ’73; Where it all began.’ The mixtape will pay homage to greats such as Afrika Bambataa, Melle Mel and Sha-rock among others and Sold and Enchanted PR are currently seeking submissions.
