HipHopDX Premiere

With an introduction from the legendary D.O.C., Tha Chill’s new video for “Automatic” gets straight to business. The track comes from the Compton’s Most Wanted vet’s recently released solo album, 4Wit80, and features fellow CMW member MC Eiht and the Diirty OGz’s Kokane.

On the visual side, Chill, Eiht, Kokane and a bunch of their associates just kick it as each MC deliver their no-nonsense bars.

“It’s the jam,” Chill tells HipHopDX. “It’s just some G shit for the culture. It’s just the way we talk, the way we hustle and how we move. It’s not necessarily G-Funk but more like West Coast boom-bap. It’s a funky little tune for the culture.”

Chill and the rest of his CMW brethren are currently finishing up a new group album. It will serve as their first album since 2006’s Compton’s O.G. While the project isn’t expected to surface until spring 2019, Chill’s 4Wit80 album provides plenty of the CMW’s sound fans have been craving.
