Dallas, TX – Post Malone receives his fair share of heavy-handed criticism for his controversial statements and success in the industry, but he remains in high demand for brands looking to utilize his star power.
Crocs has announced a new partnership with the platinum-selling artist as part of their “Come As You Are” campaign. The two sides are working together on a design called The Post Malone x Crocs Dimitri Clog.
The gaudy shoe comes in a classic white color flamboyantly decorated with six custom-designed Jibbitz charms, which include Malone’s yellow “Stay Away” tattoo and his Posty Co™ logo.
“If you like something, go get it,” Malone said in a press release. “I wear Crocs everywhere from the bar to the stage and I felt it was the perfect collaboration to get together with Crocs and give the fans what they’ve been asking for.”
Crocs Chief Marketing Officer Terence Reilly elaborated on how the collaboration came to be.
“Amidst his record-setting year, when Post tweeted, ‘U can tell a lot about a man by the Jibbitz in his Crocs’, that really got our attention,” he explained. “Post Malone is a beloved creator and represents what it means to be comfortable in your own shoes, so collaborating on product design is special. We’re thrilled with how the Post Malone x Crocs Dimitri Clog turned out and excited about what’s to come. Stay tuned.”
The limited-edition shoe was available for $59.99 at crocs.com, but it sold out within the hour of its release. Those who missed out are in luck though because Crocs plans to release more soon.
