Portland, Oregon-based MC Cool Nutz has returned with a new album titled Pig Ears & Chitlins, which is inspired by cherished soul food staples.
“That type of food has always signified a feeling of home, community and more within the African-American community,” he tells HipHopDX. “Whether you chose to indulge or not, the meaning was deep-rooted and truly one of authentic family.”
Throughout the project, Cool Nutz tackles topics such as race relations fatherhood, friendship, haters and culture. The eight-track album features appearances from Illmaculate, Mic Crenshaw, Mic Capes and April Cason and production from Trox, Cee Goods, Lawz Spoken and Deezo Woods.
