As the holiday season inches closer, the rollout for Christmas-themed movies has begun. On November 9, actor Benedict Cumberbatch will step into the role of Mr. Grinch for a new adaptation of the holiday classic How The Grinch Stole Christmas — the aptly titled The Grinch.
Ahead of its release, Tyler The Creator and esteemed composer Danny Elfman have unveiled a lyric video for the film’s theme song, “You’re A Mean One Mr. Grinch.”
The Odd Future alum announced the track via Instagram with a video clip last month.
“1. you’re a mean one,” he wrote in the caption.

The first version of “You’re A Mean One, Mr. Grinch” was created in 1966 for the animated television special How the Grinch Stole Christmas! starring Boris Karloff. It was also featured in 2000’s How The Grinch Stole Christmas, a live-action rendition of the story starring Jim Carrey.
How The Grinch Stole Christmas is based on Dr. Seuss’ book (originally published in 1957) and tells the story of a cynical grump who goes on a mission to steal Christmas, only to have his heart changed by a young girl’s generous holiday spirit.
