AR-Ab, perhaps best known for his minor role in Drake and Meek Mill’s feud, is one of nine men facing multiple federal charges for alleged drug trafficking.
In a superseding indictment, the U.S. Attorney’s Office says AR-Ab and eight others were distributing large amounts of drugs — including cocaine, crack, methamphetamine and heroin — in North Philadelphia from at least March 2017 through June 2018.
AR-Ab, whose real name is Abdul West, is identified as the leader of a local gang. All the other men charged are members, according to the indictment.
The nine men have been charged with conspiracy to distribute 5 kilograms or more of cocaine, 280 grams or more of crack, 50 grams or more of methamphetamine, and 100 grams or more of heroin. There are also individual charges of possession with intent to distribute cocaine, methamphetamine, crack, and heroin; distribution of methamphetamine; and a charge of unlawful possession of a firearm.

“The charges alleged in the superseding indictment are extremely serious, and if convicted, these defendants are facing major jail time,” U.S. Attorney William M. McSwain said in a press release. “The investigation and prosecution of drug trafficking organizations remains a high priority of this Office and the Department of Justice. We are committed to doing everything we can to keep our streets safe and stop the flow of these deadly drugs into our communities.”
AR-Ab’s co-defendants are Jamaal Blanding, Jameel Hickson, Richard Chase Hoover, Dontez Stewart, Amir Boyer, Daryl Baker, Hans Gadson and Dennis Harmon. Blanding (a.k.a. Bionickhaz) and Boyer (a.k.a. Mulla) have served as managers for AR-Ab’s OBH Records.
