DXclusives: Roc Marciano & Toker
Toker Of Eazy-E’s BrownSide Crew Passes Away
Eazy-E’s Chicano answer to N.W.A. was BrownSide. Though the group disbanded shortly after Eazy and fellow member Danger’s deaths, group member Toker dedicated his life to serving others before his passing on Wednesday (October 10) in Rosarito, Mexico.
“Toker reprised the group five years ago,” publicist and friend Shayna Wilson told HipHopDX. “He was an advocate for prison reform, an advocate for speaking out against gentrification in Los Angeles and was vocal about how ICE is affecting the family structure for Mexican-Americans in East L.A. and South Central. They went to Mexico after the earthquake last year and donated $30,000.”

Roc Marciano Details “Behold A Dark Horse” Release Strategy & Creating “Kaos” With DJ Muggs
Roc Marciano talked about Busta Rhymes being his biggest advocate in an interview with HipHopDX’s Justin Ivey.
“I mean, to be honest, Busta kinda always felt that way about me rhyming,” Roc said of Busta calling him a Top 5 MC of all time. “He always was like, ‘You like one of the illest.’ That wasn’t new. It didn’t come as a shock to me, but it was definitely humbling. Busta Rhymes is an icon.
“Busta’s from that cloth. He’s one of the GOATs. Like, if you knew Busta was getting on the track, you knew you was about to get your ass ate up. So that coming from him was humbling, man.”
