While Tekashi 6ix9ine is presumably somewhere out there living the good life, he’s blowing off his court dates. According to Page Six, the polarizing figure was expected in court on Wednesday (October 10) but failed to appear.

Judge Edwin Novillo told 6ix9ine’s attorney, “Counselor, if your client is not here on Tuesday, [there’ll be] a bench warrant.”

In 6ix9ine’s defense, one of his lawyers explained he was simply too busy traveling to show up, citing flight delays.

“The defendant was in Dubai, was in the Netherlands, and is trying to come back today,” the attorney said.

The prosecutor replied, “All that [means] is he should have booked a flight a day early.”

This isn’t the first time the Brooklyn-bred artist has bailed on a court date related to his alleged assault case.

Following his arrest at JFK airport this summer, 6ix9ine was facing up to seven years in prison for the felony assault charge on the officer who put him in handcuffs, but it was reduced to a misdemeanor. He was supposed to be in court to confront the issue but was a no-show.

6ix9ine is due in court on Tuesday (October 16). [apple_news_ad type=”any”]
