Thirty years ago, Eddie Murphy and Arsenio Hall electrified movie screens with the cult classic comedy, Coming To America. Now, Zeana x Jason Maek have animated snippets of the film for their new “Get To Work” video.
The track marks the first song the duo has released in over two years. Directed by Jason Maek, the visual finds Maek playing the role of Prince Akeem and Zaena taking on several of Murphy’s famed characters, including Sexual Chocolate.
“I loved remaking Coming To America for this song because, sonically, ‘Get To Work’ is classic and raw,” Zaena told HipHopDX. “Recreating this was awesome and I got to be three dudes. Can’t top that.”

“Either we were going to nail this or it was going to be a disaster,” Maek adds. “There was no middle ground. I think we did a good job in paying homage while giving people a little nostalgia.”
The duo plans to release their second full-length collaborative album, Freshman, in two separate volumes. Freshman: Volume I is expected to arrive soon.
