Not a whole lot of action this week on the Hip Hop Charts.
Akon continues his strong showing with Konvicted as he pushes another 51k
copies to place him at #5 with 1.3 million sold overall. Nas and Young Jeezy
keep hanging around with Jeezy’s Inspiration moving 30k for 14th on
the charts (742k sold overall) while NasHip Hop Is Dead stays in the top 25
at #22 with 25k sold this week (560k sold overall).

Elsewhere, Eminem Presents The Re Up inches closer to
platinum as it sells an additional 25k to sit pretty at #25 in its 7th
week on the charts (792k sold overall). Snoop Dogg and Jay-Z are neck and neck this week with Hov’s Kingdom Come
at #29 (21,976 sold this week) and Snoop’s Blue Carpet Treatment a notch above
it at #28 (21,674 sold). Jay still has sold more than Snoop overall (1,283,802
to 713,355) but Snoop is showing some staying power.

While Dreamgirls continues its strong grip on the #2 spot
with 65k sold this week (577k sold overall), the surprise of the week comes in
the form of Corrine Bailey Rae’s self titled album that has been on the charts
for 31 weeks but made an incredible burst to #4 on the charts (last week at
#32) with an impressive 55k sold this week (872k sold overall).
