HipHopDX Premiere: Minneapolis-bred singer/rapper Kyle Skye has revealed a new single titled “Fear Not.” The track is taken from his forthcoming album MINT, which is expected to arrive on September 28.

The former collegiate athlete — who played for the Minnesota Gophers — began in ascent in the music industry in 2013 when he established the Bay Laurel imprint with mentor Winifred “Hawk” Hawkins.

Kyle’s tenacity caught the attention of Static Major’s manager Dorian Washington, who pushed him to release more material. Since then, he’s performed with artists such as Waka Flocka Flame and Ty Dolla $ign.

Following a near death experience that left him in a coma for several days, Kyle promised himself he would never take life for granted. The result was MINT, his first full-length album.
