T.I. is the latest MC to participate in NPR’sTiny Desk Concert series. The trap pioneer teamed up with some artists from the nonprofit organization Atlanta Music Project to perform unique renditions of some of his biggest hits.

Over the course of the performance, T.I. also shared some compelling stories. Among the highlights were one tale of how he learned about his home being raided by the cops following a video shoot.

“That’s all in the essence of trap music,” he said. “This music was about the elements that people have to endure in their lives every day and find a brighter side and make a way out of no way. That’s what this music represents.”

T.I.’s Tiny Desk Concert set includes “Rubber Band Man,” “What You Know” and “Live Your Life.” It also serves as a celebration of his breakthrough album Trap Muzik, which celebrated its 15th anniversary just one week ago.
