However, the best action clearly came off the court with Lakers head coach Phil Jackson squaring off against Shaquille O’Neal. “[He’s] the only person I’ve ever had that hasn’t been a worker,” Jackson said of O’Neal. O’Neal fired back in the LA Times yesterday, asking, “How can Benedict Arnold be reliable in what he says?”
 
Critically acclaimed director Spike Lee is on deck to direct a James Brown bio pic. The film, to be
produced by Paramount and Brian Grazer’s Imagine is tentatively scheduled to hit theaters in 2008. “It’s somehow not surprising that he died on Christmas Day. He was the ultimate showman, all the way to the end,” Grazer said of Brown.
