A suspect has been arrested in the murder of XXXTENTACION.

The Broward County Sheriff’s Office retweeted an update from a rep for the department confirming the arrest.

The 22-year-old suspect, Dedrick Devonshay Williams, was arrested on Wednesday (June 20), two days after XXXTENTACION was shot dead. Captain Robert Schakenberg informed the NY Daily News that the charges for Williams include first-degree murder, a probation violation for theft of a car motor vehicle and driving without a valid license.

According to police reports, XXXTENTACION was leaving a motorsports store in Deerfield Beach when two men approached him and then robbed and shot him. The two men fled in an SUV. The sheriff’s office hasn’t confirmed if they are still looking for a second suspect.

A memorial was held in Los Angeles for XXX on Tuesday (June 19) and the charity event that he had planned will still be taking place this Sunday (June 24).
